Farewell San Pedro

As today was our last day in San Pedro and Chile, we tried to return to our favourite 'right on' vegan café, La Estrella Negra, but found it closed for renovations. Instead, we fell into Tierra Todo Naturale, drawn by its veggie-friendly menu, which offered more interesting fare than pasta or pizza.

Ensalada

While K had crema de calabacín - a creamy courgette soup - I investigated the ensalada naturista, which presented a simple salad both egg, hearts of palm, olives, and asparagus.

Pastel de choclo

We both were drawn by the menu's offer of a vegetarian pastel de choclo, and couldn't let pass a final opportunity to try this Chilean claasic. It was a slightly less dense version than we had tried in Santiago and maybe tastier for it.

Cheesecake de maracuya

Finishing on a cheesecake de maracuya (passion fruit), we felt as though we had spent our last day well. The next few days, I am sure, will be spent enjoying the unreal landscapes between here and Uyuni.
